Paint panic is real and the industry profits from it. Two hundred whites, each with a poetic name, each indistinguishable on a chip the size of a stamp.
The three-board method
Choose three candidates, no more. Paint each onto a primed board a metre square. Stand the boards in the actual room and look at them at breakfast, at noon and under lamplight.
One board will quietly disqualify itself by evening. Another will die at noon. The survivor is your colour — and you will never once think about it again, which is exactly what good paint should achieve.
